Mark was recruited in to the band by Holly and Ped
to play Bass. In the early days Mark's brother (Ged) played guitar.
Mark's and Ped's playing style inspired Holly to
write 'Two Tribes' and later 'Relax'. At about this time the name Frankie Goes To
Hollywood was ressurrected for this new band line-up.
"When people ask you what
'Relax' was about, when it first came out we used to pretend it was about motivation, and
really it was about shagging."
